WHY THERAPY?
Sometimes we don’t understand the feelings coming up in us, especially if we’ve been taught that emotions just get in the way or should be kept to ourselves. Things happen that make it hard to trust ourselves or others, don’t they? Sometimes we wonder if we’ll always feel this lonely. We can ask why our relationships turn out the way they do, or why the same things happen to us over and over. When we’re waiting for the other shoe to drop or when life feels blah or overwhelming, we can wonder if this is all there is.
I’m interested in helping you feel less alone and more liberated in all of this. I believe life can be vibrant and soulful, and that psychotherapy can help us connect to the beauty of both the light and the shadow in our lives.
We can work together one-on-one; individual therapy helps us develop trust and start to make sense of what feels jumbled inside. We can also work together in group: group therapy helps us get confident around others, build more satisfying relationships, and understand connections between different parts of our lives. Both settings can help us loosen the grip of depression and anxiety and awaken to life’s joys and challenges.
Let me know if any of this resonates with you. I know looking for a therapist can be daunting, so I offer a free initial phone consult to see if we’d be a good fit.
